How to Set up Google Apps for your Domain ?

What is Google Apps?

Google Apps is a suite of Google applications that brings together essential services to help your business. This is a hosted service that lets businesses, schools, and institutions use a variety of Google products — including Email, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Google Talk — on a unique domain (e.g., www.yourdomain.com).

For instance, if you own the domain example.com and you sign up for Google Apps services Free Edition, every organization will get

1. Email address as user@yourdomain.com.
2. Google Sites
3. Google Calendar
4. Google Docs

In Free Edition User accounts allowed per organization is Limited to 10.

How to Set up Google Apps to your Domain ?

Step 1 : Get started with Google Apps for free Click Here.

Step 2 : Enter the Domain name in the text field and then click Submit. Then it ask’s to Create your new Google Apps login and about your Organization.

Step 3 : Enter the required fields and then click on “I accept! Create my account”. After Clicking a page appears which asks How would you like to set up Google Apps? then Click on “Go Express”.

Step 4 : Then You will get a page “Google Apps setup wizard for Your Domain name”. You have to verify your domain by adding a TXT record. Go to your Domain’s DNS Manager and add a TXT Record. You will get every thing in detail that how to add a TXT record in the Verification page you get.

Step 5 : After Following the method by clicking next button a page appears that “Direct mailflow to Google servers” then select you domain Register and Click Next.

Step 6 : You will get a page which contains the link of Domain Register which automatically add MX records in your domain DNS Manager. According to Domain Register’s you will get the link. As per Godaddy.com the link is Godaddy Link.

Step 7 : After Opening this link just Login with your Godaddy username and password and confirm the domain name. This will automatically add MX Records in You DNS Manager.

Step 8 : This may take up-to 48 Hours to take Effect. Thats it Setup of Google Apps for your domain is completed. Start Sending Emails with your Domain name as a Sender.
